The customer remains responsible for declaring the component history and presenting it in a condition safe for normal workshop handling. RDB performs an intake assessment but does not operate as a hazardous-waste treatment facility.

Minimum intake requirements
Drain and clean the component
Remove product, liquid, sludge, dust and loose deposits. Cleaning must not hide damage or identification markings.
Provide supporting information
Provide an SDS, cleaning certificate, radiation survey or other evidence when the source or exposure requires it.
Wait for intake approval
Do not unload a suspicious or undeclared component. RDB may request inspection outside the normal receiving area.

This guide supports initial screening. Final acceptance depends on the actual condition and disclosed history.

| Oil or grease residue | Drain and clean before delivery. Minor normal film may be assessed at intake. |
| Known hazardous chemical exposure | Disclose the chemical and provide the current SDS and decontamination information before delivery. |
| Biological, sewage or decomposing material exposure | Provide evidence of suitable cleaning or decontamination before acceptance. |
| Suspected asbestos-containing material | Not accepted without independent clearance acceptable to RDB. |
| Suspected radioactive contamination | Do not unload. Specialist clearance or a suitable radiation survey is required. |
| Sealed, pressurised or trapped-energy component | Depressurise, isolate stored energy and declare the condition before delivery. |
| Explosive, pyrophoric or reactive residue | Not accepted for normal workshop intake. |
| Unknown previous service or uncertain contamination | Hold delivery and contact RDB for a risk review before transport or unloading. |
